THD Univalve Demos

The Univalve is a 15 watt, single ended Class A amplifier that was produced by THD Electronics that uses a single power tube with two preamp tubes.

The versatility of this amp is incredible as you can use just about any power amp/pre-amp tube on the market with no need to rebias the amp. At 15 watts, this little amp can keep up in a full band setting with all but the loudest of drummers and because of the low wattage configuration, it produces some very nice power amp distortion.  As you’ll notice in both demos, the ability to get controlled feedback through this amp is fantastic.

The bang for buck of these amps has always been very good but if you can find one on the used market they’re hard to beat.
